Join us for an evening of fun and fundraise for your Sahuaro Band at the same time!! Sahuaro Band's annual An Evening at the Gaslight Theater is coming up quickly - "A Small Town Christmas" is on Sunday, November 9 at 7 pm. Tickets are $17 and you can pick your favorite table. There are still 176 seats available; we need to sell every single one in order for this fundraiser to not lose money. Tell everyone you know - family, friends, co-workers. I will be available at the end of Tuesday night practices with tickets. You may also e-mail me at:GaslightTheatreTickets@sahuaroband.com to make arrangements to get tickets. Attached is a flyer that can be printed and posted at a work place (if possible, it would be great!) and an order form. Come enjoy a great show before the hectic pace of the holidays begins!

Hello everyone and welcome to the start of the 2008 U of A Football season! Attached is an Excel spreadsheet showing all seven home games and the workers who are currently signed up for those games. As you will see, we are short many people for all games, so if you haven't please sign up.

We are now enrolled in eScrip. If you are not familiar with eScrip please visit their website at http://www.eScrip.com click on "welcome" and you can familiarize yourself with the benefits of eScrip. After you have reviewed the benefits click on "Sign up" and it will take you through 6 easy steps to register. Please select Group ID; Type in 500018810. You are now on your way to supporting Sahuaro Marching Band. You can register your Credit/Debit Cards, Macy's Card, American Express Card and Safeway Card. If you are already an eScrip member you can change the group you are currently supporting and/or add Sahuaro Band to your supporters list. As your eScrip coordinator for Sahuaro Marching Band, I want to also encourage you, if you have not already done so, to take a few moments to register your credit and debit cards to your personal eScrip profile. Visit "my eScrip" at http://www.escrip.com/my-eScrip.jsp to add cards. Each and every time you shop at an eScrip merchant using these cards, Sahuaro Marching Band earns important funding. Finally, if you would like to continue making an impact by generating Safeway, Vons or Genuardi's contributions for Sahuaro Marching Band, you must renew your commitment to the Safeway Stores eScrip program before Nov. 1. After each band performance, we provide the students with a bottle of cold water. Each year we ask the parents to contribute at least one CASE OF 16 OZ. WATER BOTTLES. Cases of water can be purchased for less than $5.00. We request that the water be delivered to the band room by the THURSDAY PRIOR to the scheduled performances. See the Documents page for the Water Schedule.

Now you can join together with your family, friends and neighbors to help Sahuaro Band earn cash with every shopping trip to Fry's. For every $50,000 in V.I.P purchases, Fry's & Fry's Marketplace will mail a $500 check to Sahuaro Marching Band. " COOL CA$H" runs from September 1st 2008 to April 25th 2009. The bar code is attached. All you need to do is print it out and the next time you are at Fry's give the bar code to the cashier and they will link it to your V.I.P.card. Once your card has been signed up, every time you use your card through April 26, 2009, all of your purchases will automatically be credited to Sahuaro Marching Band. Please pass this on to all your friends, family and neighbors. If you are not a VIP member, you can register at any Fry's Food Stores location, call (800) 828-5235 option #1or online at FrysFood.com. A member in the Sahuaro Band for the 2008-2009 has the following potential fees: $120.00 - Sahuaro Band Fee (All students) $35.00 - Marching Shoes $300.00 - Band Camp $45.00 - Alternate Band Camp Approx. $700.00 - Holiday Bowl Trip, Dec. 2008 The Sahuaro Band fee for the 2008-2009 school year is $120.00. Students need to either pay this fee up front, or fundraise for this throughout the fall. Please remember, the Holiday Bowl Trip comes at the end of the season, and any student attending will need to fundraise to help pay for this trip.

We have confirmed that the Sahuaro Band is planning to attend the Holiday Bowl in San Diego,CA. The dates are December 27 – 31. More information will come regarding this event as Fall band information becomes available over the summer.
