HERE YOU HAVE IT, THE 2010 BAND CAMP SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK.

Bring your old ink cartridges to the band room, there is a box that you can place them in. For each cartridge the band will get $3.00 from Staples. This money can be used for anything in Staples.

Sahuaro Marching Band is now enrolled in the Fry's Food Gift Card fund raiser. This is a year round program and a great way to raise money for Sahuaro Band. You need only purchase ONE card. You can reload your gift card any time at Fry's for any amount up to $500, as many times as you like, and pay for the recharges with cash, checks, debit card or credit cards. The balance of your gift card will be at the bottom of you receipt or, if you're like me and throw away your receipt, you can call 866-822-6252.

The rebate schedule is as follows: $2,000-$10,000 = 3%
$10,001-$25,000 = 4%
$25,001-$75,000 = 5%
$75,001 - UP =6%

So, for example, with a total purchase of $15,000, Sahuaro Band would receive a 4% rebate, which would give us $600. The Band Parents Association will be pre-selling these gift cards for a face value of $5.00 to get started and you can reload them at a later date. So if you are interested in purchasing one there are envelopes next to the lock box in Mr. Switzer's office. Just indicate under other that it's for the Fry's gift card, along with your name and phone number, put your check in the envelope and into the lock box. By the way, the gift card is also accepted in all Kroger owned stores throughout the U.S. so it can be sent to family and friends out of state and still benefit Sahuaro Marching Band. One thing to remember, if your gift card maintains a zero balance for 90 days, the gift card will become deactivated and a new card will need to be purchased. SAHUARO HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND BAR CODE FOR FRY’S COOL CA$H.

THE PROGRAM WILL START SEPTEMBER 1, 2009, BUT YOU CAN START SCANNING THE BAR CODE AUGUST 1, 2009

THIS FUND RAISER WILL EARN OUR BAND $500.00 FOR EVERY $50,000.00 IN PURCHASES. OUR GOAL FOR THE 2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR IS AT LEAST $1,000.00. WE COULD EARN UP TO $2,000.00.

THIS IS AN EXTREMELY SIMPLE FUNDRAISER. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS PASS THE BAR CODE TO FRIENDS.  FAMILY MEMBERS, ETC. AT THE CHECKOUT, PRESENT THE BAR CODE TO THE CASHIER, THEY WILL SCAN IT ALONG WITH YOUR VIP CARD AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO. AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR RECEIPT IT WILL SHOW “FRY’S COOL CA$H CUSTOMER”.

After each band performance, we provide the students with a bottle of cold water. Each year we ask the parents to contribute at least one CASE OF 16 OZ. WATER BOTTLES. Cases of water can be purchased for less than $5.00. We request that the water be delivered to the band room by the THURSDAY PRIOR to the scheduled performances. Tell your Friends, Family and Neighbors! Tax credits can be used for Band Camp and trips, not fees. You can pay for fees and anything else through fundraising, like working the U of A concessions.
